Anyway this is actually gonna be a proper post so here’s a few bands…
Show Me The Skyline

It seems that a lot of people are choosing to go alone nowadays, whether it’s their main thing or just side project, and it’s proving to be successful (Nevershoutnever!, Rocket To The Moon, Romance On A Rocketship). And now Larzz Principato, aka Show Me The Skyline is trying his hand at it. He does have a band too, but he purely runs this project, filled with electro pop punk, singing songs of all the expected topics like trying to get the girl and with anthemic choruses. You probably won’t love him, but the songs are so catchy you won’t be able to stop listening anyway.
Listen to: Speak Up, It’s On Me.
All The Right Moves

This is one of those bands within just 2 or 3 listens to their songs you’ll be singing them straight away. They’re way too catchy and even if you hate them you’ll probably find yourself singing them. I was playing ‘Mona Lisa’ for days. Also a violin in a pop punk band always sounds so good, this band and The Bay State prove that it should be done so much more.
Listen to: Mona Lisa, Dance, Wasted Youth.
Underneath The Gun

I don’t find heavier bands that I really like as much as I used to. It could be the fact that they’re Christian; I know it seems weird as I’m not one myself but the majority of Christian bands I’ve found have been amazing (Demon Hunter, Emery). They incorporate piercing high screams with the lower ones, using up tempo drum beats but also intense metal breakdowns, and also add in the husky punk shouts that a lot of bands are now adopting. A song can start sounding like Underoath and then turn into something that sounds a lot more All Shall Perish, so this band have a lot of potential listeners.
Listen to: Rising Words, Fireball Log Dump, Cutting Ties Breathing Lies.
I’ll leave you with a video of The Doppler Effect doing an acoustic version of their song The Shakedown. If you haven’t heard the actual song then you really should, click here).
For some reason I can’t embed it :( well here it is
