I hear a lot of different bands in these, with their hardcore screams mixed with catchy melodies. I think these are for fans of early A Day To Remember and Marilyn Avenue.

Another song that I love… so much that I played it 10 times in a row when I first got it, is Now You Have Audio’s ‘I’d Let You In’. At the moment, they’re a bit of a one hit wonder for me, but maybe the rest of the songs will grow on me. Listen here.

Keeping it on the covers theme, who’s into the Punk Goes… series? With huge bands like Silverstein, Mayday Parade, Alesana and All Time Low covering some classic songs from metal to ‘crunk’ it isn’t a surprise their compilations seem to do so well. There’s a new album out just like these, which aren’t associated with the Punk Goes… series at all but are the same concept. The album is called Rockin’ Romance and features more obscure bands like The Scene Aesthetic, A Change Of Pace and Let’s Get It covering some popular love songs like Taylor Swifts ‘Love Story’. It isn’t half as good as the Punk Goes… albums but it’s worth a listen.

Nothing Personal
That’s the name of All Time Low’s new album. It’s released tomorrow (July 2nd, well that’s the US release date anyway..) but unfortunately for them it’s leaked onto the internet. If you want to listen head over to www.strikegently.com to download but if you like it, buy it!
My opinion; I’ve almost listened to it in full all the way through now, and initially it seems way too ordinary and seems a bit weak, especially to say this is the band that brought us the pop punk anthem ‘Dear Maria, Count Me In’. A few songs stand out so far; I’ve loved Weightless from the first listen, and Lost In Stereo, A Party Song and Hello Brooklyn stand out aswell so far. But all the songs are pretty catchy and you find yourself singing them basically on the first listen, so I’m sure this album will be a grower if you’re like me and unsure on the first play.
